A modern Dr. Strangelove? Grace Randolph's two takes on Tom Cruise in Digger
Her Lanterns Episode 7 breakdown, the busiest new upload of the week, has viewers arguing about a baseball and a ring that will not run out of power.

Digger Movie REVIEW - NO SPOILERS - Tom Cruise 2026
Grace Randolph spent a good part of her week on Digger, Alejandro Iñárritu's new film with Tom Cruise, John Goodman, Jesse Plemons and Riz Ahmed. Her spoiler-free review frames it as a modern Dr. Strangelove, gives a chapter to Cruise's turn as a Hollywood-style businessman with a nod to Les Grossman, and closes by calling it Oscar-worthy. Then came the spoiler review, which walks through the big twist and the ending. Two days old, it is now the channel's quickest mover, ahead of a tour of October's releases and her verdict on Mike Flanagan's Carrie for Prime Video, which she says she approached with doubts.
The most watched of the week's eight uploads is the one from Monday, her breakdown of Lanterns Episode 7. Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan, a planet of fear and the return of Sinestro fill the episode, and the comments are full of theories. Many viewers read young Hal picking up the baseball after his father's funeral as a refusal of the family pattern. Others joke about John Stewart's ring lasting longer than any phone battery, and several hope the finale runs very long.
The channel ran clearly above its usual daily pace this week, with close to 800,000 views gained, while the subscriber count held steady. Among similar movie and TV channels, azan and CinePals had the big weeks. Beyond The Trailer sat in the middle, with plenty of Hollywood still on its desk: a Spider-Man Clone Saga series, a Game of Thrones film set for 2029, and Tom Holland and Sabrina Carpenter cast as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
