ClawBoss sums himself up in one line, "I used to drive school buses," and these days the wheels he worries about belong to his customers. He posted twelve videos over the week. The one people talked about most is "STOP BUYING KIA and HYUNDAI!", which passed half a million views in five days.
The gripe, as viewers retell it, is the canister oil filter housing and the drain plug on it, which gets in the way of the wrench. The comment section turned into a repair-shop debate. Some argue the plug is the whole point, since it lets you empty the canister before you pull it and spare yourself a mess. Others swap fixes, one of which involves a bench grinder. And the single most liked remark admits it still can't tell what his verdict on the two brands actually is, which is fair for a man who keeps working on them.
Kia has been good to him lately. "Why are KIAs such JUNK Cars?", nine days old, is closing in on two million views. A day-old warning about "Buy Here Pay Here" dealerships has made a quick start too.
The days ran a little below his usual pace. Even so, no channel among the car and motoring creators of his size added more views over the week, and Jim's Automotive Machine Shop was the nearest behind him. ClawBoss also picked up about 5,000 new subscribers along the way.
