An Abarth 600e Competizione breaks out of a Manchester warehouse for Autocar

The 25-day-old short is still the magazine's busiest video, while a returning Audi A6 Allroad and a Genesis GV60 Magma filled the week's two new uploads.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Steady, if unspectacular. Autocar, the British motoring magazine, posted just two shorts this week, and the video doing the most work on its channel is neither of them.

That honor goes to "Abarth 600e Competizione: Warehouse escape," a 25-day-old short in which the electric hot hatch scrabbles its way out of a gritty Manchester warehouse. The description sells it as a city car that yearns to escape the city, and almost a month on it is still drawing more daily viewers than anything else the channel has, past 32,000 views in all.

The new arrivals were both about cars with something to prove. The Audi A6 Allroad, the raised, rugged estate, is billed as back with serious upgrades, and its comments wander from one viewer spotting a resemblance to James May to a small debate about whether anyone will ever take it off tarmac. The Genesis GV60 Magma, the brand's first performance model, got a quick introduction too, pitched in the description as a mix of motorsport flavor and family practicality.

Across the whole channel, views ran a little ahead of an ordinary day, while the subscriber count held where it was. Among the car channels close to its size, Autocar sits in the middle by subscribers but added the fewest views this week; Jim's Automotive Machine Shop and ClawBoss had the busiest weeks of the group, and Chevrolet's channel ran well above its usual pace.
