In the No. 31 Cadillac for Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta
The brand's in-car race livestream from Georgia collected almost all of its first-day audience within two hours of going up.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 62,774 views a day, 31 times a normal first day on this channel (2,046).

What does Petit Le Mans look like from inside the No. 31 Cadillac? The brand's own channel answered with a full livestream, "Experience Petit Le Mans | IMSA Livestream | Cadillac Racing," filmed in-car at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. In about a day it passed sixty thousand views, on a channel where a new upload usually opens with around two thousand.
The timing is the interesting part. Nearly all of those views were in place less than two hours after the video went up, and the count barely moved through the rest of the day. Perhaps most viewers came to ride along while the race was on, rather than to catch up afterward?
Petit Le Mans carries weight in sports car racing. Don Panoz created it in 1998, and it is traditionally the closing round of the IMSA season: a long day on a hilly circuit northeast of Atlanta. Cadillac's channel spends much of its time on showroom material, such as the ESCALADE IQ joining the Curated by Cadillac program and a spot for the OPTIQ, with the racing slotted in between. The about text pitches "racing DNA" and lists IMSA, WEC and Formula 1 side by side.
The same in-car treatment at the 6 Hours of Fuji a week earlier, hosted by Ashley Kalita, has stayed under nine thousand views. Road Atlanta drew far more people to the same seat.
The comment section is tiny, only a handful of messages. One viewer wants to know what keeps being held up for the driver to see; the video's description does not say, though pit boards are a likely guess. The description closes with the familiar car-ad line about professional drivers on a closed course, and for once that line is describing an actual race.
