'Home Sweet Hotel' keeps Brad Paisley's Vevo channel on the road
No new uploads in seven days, and the official channel still drew close to a million views, most of them from a long catalog of hits.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Brad Paisley - Home Sweet Hotel (Audio)
Brad Paisley's official Vevo channel put up nothing new this week, and it hardly mattered. Close to a million views came in over seven days, a touch above the channel's usual pace, carried by more than two decades of songs that country radio already made familiar.
Among the more recent uploads, the one with the most life in it is "Brad Paisley - Home Sweet Hotel (Audio)," posted about three months ago. The title fits a man who has spent much of his career on tour buses and in hotel rooms. It is an audio track rather than a full video, released on Loaded Goat Records, and it draws several times the daily audience of two spring releases, "Fallin' (Audio)" and "Helen Back (Audio)," the second a pun that sounds like something from the songwriter behind "Alcohol" and "Celebrity."
Among music channels of similar size, Paisley's sits in the middle by subscribers and fourth for views gained. The biggest week nearby belongs to fellow country veteran Alan Jackson's Vevo channel, which drew several times as many views, while CMT and P110 had busy weeks too. Paisley's subscriber count held steady at about 621,000.
