Don Toliver's 'Gemstone' and the NITROUS - OCTANE World Tour fill Amazon Music Live

Season 5 of the show that airs after Thursday Night Football took the Houston singer's tour stop and cut it into nine uploads, from a full performance to a track-by-track setlist.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Who got the Amazon Music Live treatment this time? Don Toliver. Nearly everything the channel posted over the week came from his stop on the NITROUS - OCTANE World Tour, which aired on October 1 in the show's usual slot after Prime Video's Thursday Night Football.

The centerpiece is "Don Toliver performs Gemstone at Amazon Music Live | Amazon Music," the full live cut. It is the week's most watched upload, at close to 10,000 views. Around it sit the smaller pieces: a teaser posted the day of the broadcast, a short of Don sharing favorite tour moments, a night-drive clip and a pointer to a track-by-track walk through his setlist. The comments under "Gemstone" are mostly about the energy of the set, and the most liked one looks ahead to Nitrous and a chance to see him live in Nashville.

The one upload that stepped outside the Toliver run was a short about Cardi B and Whitney Houston sharing a table.

The channel's real engine, though, is from the week before. Noah Kahan's "Orbiter" performance, eleven days old, is still drawing about twice as many daily views as "Gemstone" and has passed 100,000. Kahan is the Vermont songwriter whose Stick Season made him one of the folk-pop names of the decade, and the tags tie "Orbiter" to The Great Divide.

Overall, views ran at about half their usual daily level, and subscribers held flat. Among the label and music-media channels near its size, Amazon Music sat in the middle on subscribers. Riot Games Music had a far busier week, and alanjacksonVEVO, whose ACM performance keeps finding listeners, was busier still.
