BlizzCon's StarCraft Remastered Legacy Match keeps Blizzard's channel ticking

No new uploads went up, and a three-week-old Classic Cup match from BlizzCon 2026 is closing in on 600,000 views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A usual day on Blizzard Entertainment's main channel brings in around 30,000 views. Right now it is closer to half that, and with nothing new posted over the week, the slowdown is no mystery.

What viewers are still opening comes from BlizzCon 2026, more than three weeks back. The Classic Cup put Blizzard's older real-time strategy games back on the big stage, and the StarCraft: Remastered Legacy Match is the one with the most life left in it, close to 600,000 views and still drawing more than any other video on the channel each day. StarCraft first came out in 1998 and was rebuilt as Remastered in 2017. The Entertainment Match from the same event comes next, and a StarCraft II Entertainment Match, posted a day earlier, sits further back. Whoever is pressing play this week has come for the old strategy games, not the newer franchises.

The subscriber count did not move from 486,000. Around the channel, most of the publisher and esports channels near its size are also running under their usual pace, Blizzard's own Diablo, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm channels among them. Total War is the exception, holding its usual brisk pace and gathering several times Blizzard's views over the week.

For a company channel between events, a StarCraft match from 1998's lineage doing the heavy lifting is a fitting way to wait.
