Two months in Skyrim armor carry bizlychannel through a week off
No new uploads, but the guard saga, now in its second installment, is still drawing new viewers, with Red Dead 2's frightening forest close behind.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I Spent 2 Months as a Skyrim Guard
"I Spent 1 Month as a Guard in Skyrim" went up in June, and it remains the most watched video on bizlychannel right now. Bizly has made a habit of moving into a big open world and taking on one ordinary job there, and in Skyrim the job was the guard at the gate, the one players know best for his complaints about an arrow in the knee.
The sequel, "I Spent 2 Months as a Skyrim Guard," is three weeks old and has already passed one and a half million views, so the doubled sentence seems to have found the same crowd. Its description opens with a battle cry for Talos, the god whose worship the Thalmor have banned in the game, and both videos credit a small team of editors, one of whom also put together the intro.
Third in line is "Red Dead 2's Forest Is Actually Terrifying," from August, which takes Arthur Morgan's world into horror territory, with vampire and Skinner Brothers tags to match.
Nothing new went up this week, and the channel ran a little below its usual daily pace, adding about 10,000 subscribers and close to a million views. Among let's-play and variety channels of a similar size, KingWoolz Games had the busiest week, while ImCade and AstralSpiff also drew big crowds. Bizly's guard, meanwhile, is still on duty.
