A fixed pinball board and a one-word 'Thanks' from Charlie

Between three Gears of War: E-Day uploads and a Control Resonant review, the week's most watched video was a happy update on his Pokémon pinball machine.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

ThanksThanks

Charlie, the man behind MoistCr1TiKaL, spent part of his week thanking his own audience. The video is called simply "Thanks", and it follows his Pokémon pinball saga to what looks like a happy ending: a working board, by the sound of the comments, after viewers had sent in advice. The most liked reply jokes that he tried all of it and none of it worked. Others are struck by how pleased he looks, and one points out that he learned a whole new set of skills just to keep playing Pokémon pinball. Several want him to keep the first-person filming angle for future machine videos.

The rest of the week belonged to reviews. "Control Resonant Review" came first, and then Gears of War: E-Day took over, with a launch-day video, two short clips, a full playthrough and, on Saturday, "Gears of War E Day Campaign Review". That review is the channel's fastest mover right now, with "Trying Your Suggestion" not far behind it, both of them a day old. Gears has been a big part of Charlie's history for a long time, and the series fits the about page's playful promise of a variety gamer who finishes every game he touches.

There were fifteen uploads in all, and the channel drew close to five million views over the seven days, the most of any let's-play and variety channel near its size. KingWoolz Games and ImCade came next. Even so, Charlie's daily pace sits a fair way below his usual one, which says more about how high that usual is than about a slow week. He added about 10,000 subscribers.
