Every Wii Sports platinum medal, ten months on, keeps Little Z busy

With nothing new posted, a medal hunt from last December, an Olympic record run and a Mario Kart tip list share the channel's daily traffic almost evenly.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

No new uploads. Little Z, whose about page promises "full commitment to half baked ideas," spent the week letting older work carry the channel, and the video doing the most is a long-term commitment if ever there was one.

"I Got Every Wii Sports Platinum Medal" is close to ten months old and has passed 600,000 views. The description calls it possibly his greatest achievement, and the tags map the grind: tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, boxing, plus a detour into Wii Sports Resort. Platinum medals in the training modes of Nintendo's 2006 pack-in game are notoriously stingy, which is exactly the kind of half-baked idea he takes all the way.

Right behind it, and drawing nearly as many viewers each day, is "I Broke Every World Record in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games," fifty days old and past a quarter of a million. The description jokes that his body may never recover. Then comes "5 Easy Ways to Win at Mario Kart," twelve days old, a lighter list of tips whose tags run from the blue shell to King Boo and Waluigi.

The channel, best known for Smash Bros. Ultimate, ran a little below its usual pace, and subscribers held at 1.05 million. Among let's-play and variety channels of similar size it gathered the fewest views of the week, while KingWoolz Games ran a touch above its usual pace and MoistCr1TiKaL Gaming drew the most. For Little Z, it was a week of Wii nostalgia doing quiet, steady work.
