Video taking off 6.1x its usual first day

A hook removal hack leads Beamish DIY's run of quick household fixes

The short gives away almost nothing about the hook, and it still pulled far ahead of everything else the channel posted around it.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 103,335 views a day, 6.1 times a normal first day on this channel (16,909).

Among DIY and home channels close to its size, Beamish DIY draws the largest daily audience by a wide margin, several times what Kate_cleanhome's cleaning shorts bring in. The lawn-care, woodworking and pressure-washing channels nearby are holding to their usual pace. Beamish is not: its whole catalog is running about half again above an ordinary day.

The short out in front is "DIY Hook Removal Hack #easy #hook #removing #trick," posted on Tuesday. Thirteen hours later it had passed 75,000 views. A Beamish short usually ends its entire first day below 17,000. The description promises a quicker, more convenient way to get a hook out, but it never says what kind of hook. That fits the channel, which deals in short, wordless-looking fixes whose titles do most of the explaining. Nobody has left a comment yet, and that is close to normal here: a new Beamish short typically collects about one comment on its first day.

The hook was not the only Tuesday upload to move. A parchment paper baking trick posted the same day has gone past 20,000 views, also ahead of the channel's usual start. Then came Wednesday's batch: a space-saving clothes hanger trick, a method for fitting wood planks around a rounded corner, and, already in early October, a Christmas decorating guide for 2026. Since yesterday's mop hack, the channel has kept to the same rhythm of several small fixes a day, and this time a hook is the one carrying the most weight.
