Golden Axe arrives with Matthew Rhys and Danny Pudi, and an Among Us short steals focus

Golden Axe, mostly. Paramount's animation channel spent its week introducing a new Paramount+ series built on Sega's 1989 arcade game, with four of its five uploads given over to it. The first five minutes went up first, presenting the familiar heroes Tyris Flare, Ax Battler and Gilius Thunderhead alongside a hapless newcomer, Hampton Squibb, whom the description winks at as the secret chosen one. The cast includes Matthew Rhys, Lisa Gilroy, Liam McIntyre and Danny Pudi. An intro clip followed, along with a skeleton fight that puts the show side by side with the game, its description pitying Death Adder's endlessly slashed henchmen.

The upload that drew the crowd, though, was a short cartoon about an Among Us vote: Purple pushing everyone to eject Red, and a possessed Green who just wants to go home. That plea is the line the comments keep returning to, half sympathy and half joke, and several viewers recognize voices from Minecraft: Story Mode. It came close to 38,000 views in five days. A thirteen-day-old Golden Axe clip billed as nightmare fodder, now past 50,000, still brings in a steady stream too.

Old Beavis and Butt-Head, failing at a cheese-tasting job, rounded out the week. Overall the channel ran just under its usual pace and added about a thousand subscribers. Among similar TV channels, RedGreenTV nearly doubled its usual daily views, while Animated held a steady spot in the middle.
