Two billion views in sight, and a forklift flips a tank for Alan Trucker

A tank flip challenge passed 400,000 views in five days, one of 13 new shorts about life around trucks, chains and cranes.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

How close is Alan Trucker to two billion total views? Close enough that a single quiet afternoon would cover the gap. The channel sits a hair under the mark, and its daily views are running a little above their usual pace.

Thirteen new shorts went up over the week, and the one doing the most work is "Forklift driver doing a tank flip challenge…🤦‍♂️😆". Five days in, it has passed 400,000 views and is still the busiest thing on the channel. Its comments split into two camps: viewers whose hearts skipped for the operator, and veterans of the warehouse floor who shrug that the tank was probably empty. One commenter even explains why new tanks are shipped under negative pressure, and another, with years on reach trucks, calls it just a guy doing his job.

The rest of the week ran through the trucker's world in small doses: a warning about sharp turns for new semi drivers, a long-nose Peterbilt that could use a crane to get round a tight corner, a flatbed life hack for rookies. The snowy one had the fastest start. "Trucking ASMR: driving semi truck on the snow with chains on tires." drew more first-day views than anything else he posted, chains clanking well before most roads see winter.

Two newer clips are already moving quickly too, a pickup losing a car off its flatbed on the highway and a gear shifter Alan calls one of the most unique he has seen.

Subscribers held steady at 462,000. Among the aviation and machine channels around his size, only Mr Hewes, with his 1953 RAF generator engine, gathered more views over the week, while blancolirio and Francis Bourgeois ran slower than usual.
