Cannibal pie and a two-headed cow: ZacSpeaksGiant's 'Apocalypsed'
The post-apocalyptic World Heritage Post opened with about 2.4 million views in a day, and King Minos and 'Magic Rocks' followed it before the week was out.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Apocalypsed - World Heritage Posts
Among the reaction and commentary channels nearest its size, ZacSpeaksGiant gathered by far the most views of the week, about 22 million, several times what the next busiest, Chuff Reacts, drew. For a channel whose about page promises only silly D&D stories and silly thoughts, that is a lot of silliness being watched.
All three uploads belong to World Heritage Posts, the series where Zac takes a post from the internet and acts it out. The first, "Apocalypsed", is about the oldest warning in the wasteland: be careful of strangers who say they have plenty of meat. Viewers spotted that much of the footage comes from The Walking Dead's cannibal arc, and the comments turned into a hunt for references, from a pie shop under a barber shop (Sweeney Todd) to Soylent Green and a Fallout dialogue option for cannibals who simply didn't want to be rude. The line people keep repeating is the cows being "all apocalypsed."
Greek myth came next with "King Minos", and on Friday "Magic Rocks" made the fastest start of the three, past a million and a half views in its first day.
Older episodes are still busy too. "The Real Monster", more than a month old, is closing in on nine million views and draws more each day than "King Minos" does. The channel as a whole is running well above its usual daily pace, though its subscriber count sat still at a little over a million.

What viewers say
In a post- apocalyptic wasteland, I'm avoiding anyone who says they have lots of meat. Not for any moral objections, but because I'd be worried the next time they ran low on food, I'd be on the menu 😅
