Bathroom passes and silent lunches: Teens React takes on school rules that make no sense
Twelve clips of the internet's strangest classroom policies made up the channel's only new episode, and the comment section turned into a staff room.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Teens React to School Rules That Make No Sense
Which school rule gets people talking? Under the newest Teens React episode, it is the bathroom. "Teens React to School Rules That Make No Sense" was the channel's only upload of the week. It walks a cast of teenagers through twelve clips of policies the description calls some of the most insane on the internet, then closes with their final thoughts. It drew close to 22,000 views on its first day.
The comments read like a school reunion. Viewers swap memories of bathroom passes rationed by the semester, silent lunches handed out when a cafeteria got too loud, and traffic-light systems that judged a table's noise level. Not everyone sides with the panel. Self-described teachers step in to defend clear water bottles and strict pass limits. Another viewer explains the food-swap ban as an allergy precaution for small children, and a veteran compares silent lunch to eating in boot camp.
The channel's steadiest earner is older. "Regular Teens React To The Most Spoiled Teens On The Internet!", from early in the year, is still picking up thousands of views a day and is closing in on a million. Last week's look at Netflix anime, from Hunter x Hunter to One Piece, keeps a gentler pace behind it.
Overall the channel moved almost exactly at its usual rhythm. Among reaction channels of similar size, ZacSpeaksGiant had the big week, running well above its normal pace, while BroskiReport was quieter than usual.

What viewers say
5:02 Silent lunches is how we'd eat in boot camp, except there is no talking even amongst your table. You make hand gestures if you need someone to pass a condiment or napkins and it worked quite well.
@jskelly1979See it on YouTubeWhen I was in elementary school, we sat at tables and if we got too loud, the lunch monitor would change from green to yellow or from yellow to red. Generally, the idea is so that the students don't get too rowdy or disrupt other kids lunch. Classes that got a green light at lunch were named in the morning announcements and if the entire grade got a green light, it was reported.
