Two nights out of Jeddah aboard Saudi Arabia's first cruise ship

Tim's AROYA Cruises trip has passed 430,000 views in nine days, with a Paris hotel double bill and an abandoned RAF base still drawing viewers behind it.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

"I Tried Saudi Arabia's First EVER Cruise Ship" is the video doing the work on Walk With Me Tim, the channel where Tim films the world's odder and grander hotels from his own point of view. He spent two nights aboard AROYA Cruises sailing out of Jeddah, and the description promises a tour of his suite, the pools, the restaurants and the entertainment, along with a few differences from the cruises he is used to and some features he calls genuinely surprising.

Nine days on, it has passed 430,000 views and is still gathering them at more than twice the daily pace of anything else on the channel.

Behind it sit two earlier trips. One is a Paris double bill, a night in one of the cheapest hotels he could find and another in a luxury stay costing thousands, built around a simple question: is the expensive one worth it? The other is a month-old night alone on a decommissioned RAF base somewhere in the British countryside, with a control tower, a military helicopter and aircraft to poke around in. Both are close to half a million views.

Nothing new went up over the seven days, and the channel ran below its usual daily pace. It still added about one and a half million views, the third most among the travel channels nearest its size, behind Jet Lag: The Game and Jeb Brooks. Expedia and TayBrice are the ones running well above their normal pace right now.
