Surviving UFO Abductions in Hardcore Minecraft
One video, plenty of talk. Kim, the Norwegian behind unsorted guy, spent his week defending a Hardcore Minecraft farm from flying saucers in "Surviving UFO Abductions in Hardcore Minecraft," his only upload. It drew more than 50,000 views on its first day and has passed 110,000 since. The description credits the alien models to Vlad Fon Carstein, and the farm, by Kim's own billing, turns into a nightmare.
The comment section, though, is mostly about something else. Somewhere between the abductions, Kim ends up with a son, and viewers cannot let it go: some point out it is not the first time this has happened in one of his videos, others suggest better names for the little one, and a few already want a sequel. Several also enjoy the tone, uneasy rather than outright horror. Under one popular comment, people tease him with a choice between the aliens and a cave trip alone with Sean, his regular partner from group series.
The back catalog keeps its own pace. "100 Days in a World of DRAGONS in Hardcore Minecraft," a three-and-a-half-hour run with LoreWithWes that ends with an attack on a city named Kings Landing, is still finding viewers five months on. The Jurassic apocalypse from the Lost World SMP, with ShadowMech and the Forge Labs crowd, follows close behind.
Overall the channel ran a bit under its usual pace, adding about a thousand subscribers. Among Minecraft creators around its size, Johnny World had by far the busiest week, while FalseSymmetry and PythonMC ran quiet.
