Copper, tinted glass and four towers: FalseSymmetry builds her Hermitcraft palace
Episode 29 finally gives her Season 11 mega base its walls, with a few rounds of Chaos Cubed on the side.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Hermitcraft S11: Building the Palace! | Episode 29
What does a Hermitcraft mega base look like once its four towers become one building? Episode 29, "Hermitcraft S11: Building the Palace!", is FalseSymmetry's answer, and it was her only upload of the week. The description promises the walls of her Giant Mega Palace at last, plus a go at Chaos Cubed that, in her own words, came without too much luck.
The comments mostly talk about the windows. Layered tinted glass and copper grates set against pale oak have viewers comparing the effect to old pixel art, and a couple of them swear they can see a face, maybe a warden, in the pattern. Others came straight from Scar's video, which went up around the same time, and enjoyed her reaction to his scaffolding: his "sky net" was, to her, a handy way to drop an anvil on someone. Several also congratulate her on hosting Minecraft Live.
The episode passed 35,000 views in its first day and has gathered about 66,000 since. Older chapters ride along quietly, among them the EGG prank of Episode 26 and the Firefighters' 'To Kill a Tango' game of Episode 28, which sent Tango through the eyes of an iron golem.
The channel as a whole ran slower than usual, with subscribers holding at 458,000. Several Minecraft channels near her size were also under their normal pace, PythonMC among them, while ShadowMech ran a little above its own. Between palace episodes, the base is the thing her viewers keep coming back to discuss, down to suggestions for hidden rooms and a forest underneath.

False and Scar in 2 hours!? Today is a great day!
@BradyS-ky4qhSee it on YouTubeThe window pattern is incredible. If you'd asked a week ago, I could not have pictured those four towers joined into a single structure, and now I can't imagine them as anything but the four corners of one palace. Absolutely beautiful.

Dont say Palace in front of Ren, might activate his kingly past season like a sleeper agent
@NerfProNeverDiesSee it on YouTubeThat cooper and tinted glass trick looks awesome
@hugogomez9228See it on YouTubeEven without the white decorations, just the layered tinted glass + copper grate with black glass cutouts looks so unique... The way pattern of the grates diffuses the light areas, it reminds me of how the pixel art of old 8-bit video games were designed to look completely different viewed on a crt screen. Such a cool technique!!
