Jon Cartwright of Good Vibes Gaming asks Scott 'To Remake or Not to Remake?'

The sit-down about whether gaming's greatest hits need a remake passed 100,000 views on its first day, closing a three-video week on Scott The Woz's unscripted side channel.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Twenty-eight hours old, and the newest video on Scott's Stash had already passed 119,000 views. "To Remake or Not to Remake? with Jon Cartwright" pairs Scott with the host of Good Vibes Gaming, the channel known for its upbeat retro and Nintendo deep dives, and the premise is simple: some of the greatest games of all time, and whether any of them actually need a remake. It is the kind of unscripted talk the channel's about page promises, the looser cousin of the carefully built Scott The Woz episodes.

It capped a week of three uploads. "Random Console Wars" opened it, and the idea is in the title: consoles drawn by chance and set against each other. Going by the comments, chance was not kind. Viewers keep pointing out how many matchups turned into family squabbles between machines from the same company, Sony against Sony included, and they keep coming back to an especially lopsided HyperScan versus 3DS pairing. A few are still waiting for the N-Gage to get its turn. Two days later came "What if There Was a True Nintendo 3DS Successor?", a question many handheld fans have been asking since Nintendo moved on to the Switch.

The console video is the most watched of the three so far, but the Cartwright conversation is gathering views many times faster than either. Across the whole channel, daily views ran a little above the usual pace, and about 1,000 new subscribers arrived over the week.

Among gaming commentary channels of similar size, only Secret Castle Toys and Games added more views this week. Mind Pulp and HiddenXperia also ran well ahead of their usual pace, while IGN Games had a quieter stretch.
