Geralt, once more: Jake Baldino asks if The Witcher 3's remaster was worth it
His only upload of the week passed 380,000 views, and its comments turned into a scrapbook of where people were when they first played it.

They did it AGAIN
"They did it AGAIN" is Jake Baldino's verdict on CD Projekt Red's latest pass at The Witcher 3, a free update that reworks the combat and the graphics so thoroughly that the description calls the game fully remastered. It is the one video he posted on his own channel, the place his about page reserves for longer talks than the ones he hosts on Gameranx, and it opened strongly, with close to a quarter of a million views on its first day.
The comments read less like a review section and more like a reunion. Viewers write about the college year they spent in Velen, the hard stretch of life the game carried them through, and the wish to forget it all and play it fresh. A few hold the remaster to account: the wind, they say, no longer howls, and the trees sway less. Others put in a word for The Witcher 2, and one viewer suspects Jake's dog, who appears around the five-minute mark, has opinions about Geralt's treatment of dogs.
Behind it, his take on the Resident Evil movie and his surprise at Control Resonant are still finding viewers. The channel overall ran at well under half its usual daily pace, a slower week than most in its circle, where Retro Jakes again drew the biggest crowd by far and RGT 85 ran ahead of its norm.

Witcher 3 will always hold a special place for me, it's what I played in my first year of college. It was a good escape for an anxious introverted kid lol
