A snowman guards the lake, and Rako gains 80,000 more subscribers
The animated story channel now sits at 348,000, level with Satisfying-Lawn, and its about page names a million as the goal.
Why this story? The channel went from 268,000 to 348,000 subscribers this week.
Rako now has 348,000 subscribers, the same count as Satisfying-Lawn, in a cluster of story and curiosity channels that sit roughly between 300,000 and 390,000. Eighty thousand of Rako's subscribers arrived in the last seven days, close to a third of the channel's size a week earlier.
That is a smaller week than the one before, as we reported here, and the channel's daily views have eased to about half their usual pace. It is not alone in that. Pins Guy, Faded Mystery and Zver are also running well below their usual.
The newest hero is a snowman. "His Snowman SAVED Him From The LAKE MONSTER 😱" passed nearly 600,000 views in its first eight hours, which is more than a usual Rako short manages across its entire first day. He joins a cast that keeps getting stranger: a jack-in-the-box the day before, and a gargoyle and a pumpkin before that.
The same day also brought gentler, animal-led titles. In one, a beluga saves the woman who will later become her trainer. In another, an eagle is given a printed beak. Both drew far smaller crowds. For now, the everyday objects that turn into rescuers, the toys and the snowmen, are pulling in more viewers than the animals.
The channel says every short starts from a blank page, with the script, animation, voiceover, sound and subtitles all made by its own team. It also says the stories are dramatized, some inspired by real events and others invented. Its about page states the target plainly: a million subscribers. Rako is now a little over a third of the way there.
