Robert Maxwell puts Todd Standing's Bigfoot footage back under the lens
Les Stroud's only upload of the week is a friend's investigation, with a long interview with Standing and words from anatomist Jeff Meldrum.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Cabin in The Woods ftr by Les Stroud | Ultimate Bigfoot Footage | Todd Standing’s Critics Were Wrong
Among the mystery and curiosity channels of a similar size, Survivorman had one of the calmer weeks. 5PM and Gravity Dreams pulled in tens of millions of views, and Josh the Intern ran well above his usual pace. Les Stroud's channel simply kept its normal rhythm: about 600,000 views over the seven days, right in line with an ordinary week, and a subscriber count that held near 972,000.
The one new video belongs to someone else's camera, and Stroud says so up front. "Cabin in The Woods" is the work of Robert Maxwell, whom the description introduces as a friend. It goes back to Todd Standing's much-disputed Sasquatch footage from western Canada. It is built around a long interview with Standing about the mask and fabrication accusations, plus comments from Idaho State anthropologist Jeff Meldrum and the late wildlife biologist John Bindernagel. The description goes further and says the film shows some critics twisted the evidence. It is a bold claim, and it is the video's own.
The comment section has not settled the question. The most liked comment repeats a point Stroud once made himself in a director's commentary: where is the rest of the footage? Others go frame by frame through a test with needles held up to the face, or argue about the eyes and the blink.
The Bigfoot thread runs through the channel's older uploads too. A Stacy Brown Jr. episode, in which a man named Tyler Howell describes what he filmed on Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, is still drawing a steady stream of views. For the man who invented the solo survival show, the woods remain the subject. These days it is mostly about who else might be out there.

What impressed me is how the eye blink & “eyebrow” movement are tied together
@WolfPointOutdoorsSee it on YouTubeHow the hell would ANYONE know what a Sasquatch looks like if they had never seen one? Why do we still think they are some kind of ape? Also, we have no idea how many years they live. An older or more mature one might have a much less smooth face, more folds and “character.” If I met one of these in the daylight I might not be too terrified. In the dark, no way.
