A gargoyle against the monsters leads Rako's parade of unlikely rescuers
The animated story channel added 135,000 subscribers in seven days and now has 317,000, with three of its newest shorts past a million views.
Why this story? The channel went from 182,000 to 317,000 subscribers this week.
"His Gargoyle SAVED Him From All The MONSTERS 🤯" is the newest animated short from Rako, and it passed a million views within eleven hours of going up. That is roughly eight times what a video on this channel usually gathers in a full first day.
Read the titles from the past few days in a row and a pattern appears: someone is always saved, and the rescuer is rarely who you would expect. A doll steps in at the last second. A goose becomes a blind dog's eyes. A brother faces down the Seek, a name players of the Roblox horror game Doors will know as the one-eyed creature that chases them through the hallways. And a family dog crawls home after a tornado, the story at the center of the channel's week as we reported here.
The tornado dog and the Seek story have since crossed a million views each. Not every rescuer lands the same way, though: the goose, posted on the same day as the gargoyle, has drawn only a small share of the gargoyle's audience so far. Monsters, it seems, are pulling harder than geese right now.
The week added 135,000 subscribers. Rako's about page says every video starts from a blank page, with the script, animation, voiceover, edit, sound and subtitles all made by the team itself. It describes the stories as dramatized for entertainment: some inspired by real events, others invented outright. The same page names the target plainly: a million subscribers.
