Spectre Armour + Leaf Blower = Absolute MAYHEM in Terraria 1.4.5.8!
Two uploads, both Terraria. PythonGB spent the week inside the game's 1.4.5 updates, running two series side by side.
The bigger of the pair is episode 16 of his Let's Play, "Spectre Armour + Leaf Blower = Absolute MAYHEM in Terraria 1.4.5.8!" The description lays out the plan: survive a full Solar Eclipse, craft Spectre armor for his mage, then rematch the Empress of Light before he has touched Golem or Duke Fishron. The Leaf Blower has rarely been anyone's idea of an endgame weapon, and the comments explain why it works now: the latest update lets it fire several leaves at once, the leaves circle back for a second try, and mana drains more slowly. Others are busy coaching. One points out a new accessory combination that would have needed the Black Belt he sold, another wonders what the Life Fruits are now a material for.
The newer video is the sixth part of a yoyo playthrough he started after the update overhauled the yoyos, a decade after his original yoyo run on the channel. Here he finishes the pre-hardmode set, with Skeletron and Deerclops yielding the Valor and the Cascade (the Malaise from the alternate evil biome is saved for later). It is picking up views faster than anything else on the channel.
Overall it was a slower week than usual, with subscribers holding at about 612,000. Among strategy and role-playing channels of similar size, Rimmy Downunder and MadSeasonShow are running above their usual pace, while PythonGB keeps to what his about page promises: chill, slower-paced playthroughs.
