Mosaddegh, Suez and an IRGC letter in Susan Kokinda's Monday Brief

The episode reads Iran's open letter to Americans for the one country it never names, Britain, and goes back to the 1953 coup to make its case.

"IT'S OVER: IRGC Mistake Confirms Trump's Hit on the British Empire" is the Monday Brief on Promethean Updates, the channel where Promethean Action posts its political shows several times a week. Within ten hours it had passed 300,000 views, a quicker start than anything else the channel put up over the week.

Susan Kokinda builds it around the 26-page open letter Iran's Revolutionary Guard addressed to the American people. Her point, as the description puts it, is what the letter leaves out: it blames the CIA, Israel and the military-industrial complex, but never the British. From there the episode goes back to 1953, when Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown after nationalizing the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, the company later known as BP, and on to Eisenhower refusing to back Britain and France at Suez in 1956.

The week's most watched upload came two days earlier. Barbara Boyd's Saturday Wrap-Up, "EUROPE CAVES: Trump's Diesel Ultimatum Drops U.S. Prices — Here's Why," opened with diesel and Europe's emergency stocks, then ran through a truck plant in Texas, a planned steel mill in Iowa and NASA's Jared Isaacman. That Iowa mill had already carried the midweek update, a short cut from it and Thursday's two-hour live show with Boyd, Kokinda and Adam Sturman.

Seven uploads in all, and the channel still ran well below its usual daily pace, adding about 3,000 subscribers. Among the political commentary channels close to its size, only Lamont Tyson added more views over the week.
