'It's not my name': Onevilage sings back at everyone calling him Unkuruku
A run of nonsense syllables and a giggling 'hehe' are what the comment section keeps replaying, and a second short crossed a million on the same day.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,501,329 views a day, 10 times a normal first day on this channel (150,854).
It’s not my name😔🥀
Who is Unkuruku? Not Onevilage, if the title of his newest short is to be believed. "It's not my name😔🥀" passed a million views inside its first day, and viewers have filled in the backstory for anyone arriving late. In one of the most liked replies, a viewer explains that Unkuruku is the name of a cat he once showed on the channel, and that people have been calling him by it ever since. The short is his answer, and the audience treats it as a song.
The comments circle the same few moments. The line where someone asks whether his name really is Unkuruku, followed by a tumble of syllables nobody could spell, is the most quoted. His high little "hehe" laugh comes up again and again, with several viewers saying it never gets old. Others admit, slightly puzzled, that the thing is a genuine earworm, and one asks for it on Spotify. All that talk added up quickly: comments arrived nearly seven times faster than on a usual first day for his shorts.
It was not the only short to clear a million that day. "It's Was The only one Left😂", posted the same day, crossed the mark too, and a "Happy Birthday 🥹🎉" short from the following day was already past a quarter of a million.
The protest may not have landed, though. Among the comments, at least one viewer announces a new subscription by greeting him as Unkuruku.
