Onevilage's 'He's a Good Person' has viewers talking about David and a cockroach

Viewers keep returning to a dance, a friendship and a cockroach they half expected to turn up, while another short from the same day has already passed a million views.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 1,121,014 views a day, 7.5 times a normal first day on this channel (149,240).

He’s a Good Person 🥹

"Where are the Smartest😅 @Imdarkio" went past a million views on Monday, a quick climb for any Onevilage short. A second upload from the same day is moving even faster: "He's a Good Person 🥹" had close to half a million views seven hours after it went up.

The title gives little away, so the comment section fills in the rest. Viewers keep coming back to David, who one commenter says is in his "repay back arc," and to a friendship that many call the heart of the short. A cockroach runs through the jokes. One viewer admits expecting it to appear when a girl was in his room, another asks how cockroaches even date, and someone else gives a character called Unkuruku an "exterminator arc." The dance gets its own round of reactions. Some viewers point to a nod to yunglimabean, and at least one complains that nobody caught it.

The short drew more comments in its first seven hours than an Onevilage short usually collects in a full first day.

The channel, with 10.1 million subscribers, has not slowed down. Five more shorts went up the next day, led so far by "It's Every Movie 😭✌🏽".
