Kangaroo facts, round two: Marty and Moog's 'Kangaroo WHAT NOW?'
Three weeks after Unicorn Circuit episode 203 asked what kangaroos have, the second channel came back with a follow-up and an invitation to share animal facts.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Kangaroo WHAT NOW?
What do Marty and Moog do when one kangaroo fact is not enough? They make a second video about it. "Kangaroo WHAT NOW?" was the only upload on MCM TV2 this week, and its description comes with a warning: the more you watch, the more you may regret. It ends by asking viewers for their own interesting animal facts.
It follows a thread started in "Kangaroos have what?? [Unicorn Circuit EP 203]", the weekly variety show where the Mighty Car Mods pair go through car news, strange internet finds, stories pulled from a hairy hat and snacks ordered online. That episode, three weeks old and past 64,000 views, is still picking up a few hundred a day. The new short is gathering views about three times faster, which makes it the busiest thing on the channel.
The comment section plays it with a straight face. Viewers thank the pair for exactly the information they needed, award the video a documentary standard National Geographic could never reach, and admit they worry about Moog a lot. One longtime subscriber says it was their first notification from the second channel in years.
Overall it was a slow week. Daily views ran at about half their usual level, and the subscriber count held at 708,000. Among the car channels close to its size, Top Gear Classic and Sparks Motors were running above their usual pace, while most of the others, MCM TV2 included, were running below theirs. Next to that, the kangaroo is not doing badly.
