A 440 big-block, seized for 43 years, under a 1969 Dodge Dart
Dylan McCool posted nothing new, and his two-week-old attempt to wake the Mopar has passed 230,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
SEIZED 440-Powered Dodge Dart Sat for 43 YEARS! Will It Run & Drive?
No uploads, one Dart. Dylan McCool took the week off, and the video still bringing people to the channel is the one about a 1969 Dodge Dart that had been sitting for 43 years with a 440 big-block under the hood that would not turn.
The description lays out the plan plainly: free the seized engine, see whether it fires for the first time in more than four decades, then try to get the car running and driving again. It is the kind of question the channel is built on, and like every McCool description it opens with a Bible verse, this time from Galatians.
The 440 was Chrysler's biggest big-block of the muscle car era, more often found in Chargers, Road Runners and Coronets than in a compact like the Dart, which is part of the appeal of this one.
Behind it, two older projects are still finding viewers: the summer purchase of a whole collection of abandoned muscle cars, now past 250,000 views, and the race engine Dylan built for Cornbread, his rusty junkyard Coronet, billed as revving to the moon.
Without anything new, the channel ran well under its usual daily pace and its subscriber count held at 647,000. Most of the car channels near its size were also slower than normal, though Edison Motors and Seen Through Glass kept to their usual rhythm, and Pushing Pistons had by far the busiest week in the group.
