Link the cat climbs the wicker basket, and the Kwings' Gotham run hits episode 11

Luke and Amber Kwing posted fifteen videos in seven days, most of them co-op chapters of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on Switch 2.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

No climbing CAT!No climbing CAT!

Luke and Amber Kwing spent most of the week in Gotham. Their co-op run of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on Switch 2 moved from episode 8 to episode 11, part of fifteen uploads from a couple whose about page promises videos every day at noon and 3 p.m., with live streams in the evening.

The most watched new upload, though, had no Batman in it. "No climbing CAT!" is a short starring Link, the family cat, who has decided the wicker basket is his. The description sums him up as a cat who doesn't care. Viewers greeted him like a returning hero, and the most liked comments all make the same practical point: what Link really wants is a scratching post. One sharp-eared fan also picked out the Chrono Trigger music playing under the clip.

The freshest videos are carrying the momentum. A short called "Amber's time off" and Part 7 of Night in the Woods, the indie adventure about Mae, a cat who comes home to her small town, both had a busy first day. There was a Fortnite nod to Five Nights at Freddy's too, "FORTNIGHTMARES - FNAF Showcase."

Overall it was a calmer week than usual, with daily views a little below their normal pace and close to 182,000 added in seven days. Among let's-play and variety channels of similar size, Lazy Mattman had by far the biggest week, while SeaPeeKay and Kruzadar held steady. The Kwings sat in the middle of the group, a family-friendly channel more than a decade into posting.
