Handwritten FBI notes, four interviews, and the order Katie Phang says Todd Blanche skirted
In eleven hours, viewers left more than twice the comments a usual video here gets in a full first day, and the most liked of them ask about contempt.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 513,069 views a day, 7.9 times a normal first day on this channel (64,962).
AG Blanche FAILS TO COMPLY With JUDGE’S ORDERS In MY Epstein Lawsuit!?
The question in Katie Phang's newest video is a narrow one, and she frames it as a lawyer would: did the government hand over what the judge ordered, or something that only looks like it?
The material is a set of handwritten FBI notes from four separate interviews with a woman who told agents she was sexually assaulted and physically abused when she was 13. In the Epstein lawsuit Phang brought herself, the court ordered those notes turned over. Todd Blanche's latest filing says the government has complied. Phang, an attorney before she was a cable news anchor, explains why she reads the filing differently, and why, in her view, it is another way to delay the notes becoming public.
Blanche and this case have been a steady subject on her channel for days, but this installment drew a far bigger crowd: about 330,000 views in its first eleven hours, on a channel where a new video usually ends its whole first day near 65,000. The comment section had already passed twice a usual full day's total, and its most liked comments circle one point. Viewers want to know why no one has been held in contempt of court.
The day before, Phang was in New York for the arrival of a truck carrying millions of micro-printed Epstein files. She stood alongside survivors, Robert De Niro, Rosie O'Donnell and Rep. Dan Goldman. A short of her speech there drew comments at nearly eight times the channel's usual pace for a short, most of them thanking her for pressing the case.
