Gina Hinojosa, Greg Abbott and the Elon Musk messages, on Katie Phang

The Texas Democrat's interview, 33 days before the midterms, sat inside a fifteen-upload week that also brought Tim Disney and his graphic novel about a world where lying kills.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Fifteen uploads, and not all of them about Todd Blanche. The fight over Katie Phang's own Epstein files lawsuit, as we reported here, kept producing new filings and new videos, two of them past 400,000 views on their first day. But the interview still drawing a crowd days later came from Texas.

Gina Hinojosa, the Democratic candidate for Texas governor, sat down with Phang to talk about her race against Greg Abbott and the messages between Abbott and Elon Musk that she has been pressing him on. The description says she also laid out how she would end what her campaign calls the "Abbott Corruption Tax." Posted October 1, it has kept climbing well after its first day, and now has close to half a million views.

The rest of the week showed the range of a channel run by a trial lawyer. Phang returned to the Cornell Title IX case, after The New York Times obtained more than 1,000 pages from the investigation. Her live Sidebar show brought in journalist Scott MacFarlane, who watched Jack Smith's Senate Judiciary testimony in person. And on Sunday came something lighter: Tim Disney talking about The A.R.C., his satirical graphic novel set in a world where anyone who lies dies.

The channel ran far above its usual pace, with around 5.5 million views over the week and about 5,000 new subscribers. Among the political commentary channels close to her size, that is the fourth biggest gain. Hawk's Podcasts and Dan Wootton Outspoken had the loudest weeks, and Pondering Politics was also running well ahead of its norm.
