Todd Blanche asks a judge to throw out Katie Phang's Epstein lawsuit
Her breakdown of his motion for judgment on the pleadings drew more comments in seven hours than one of her videos usually gathers in a full first day.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 644,541 views a day, 11 times a normal first day on this channel (59,967).
WOW!! AG Blanche BEGS Judge To DISMISS My EPSTEIN LAWSUIT!!
Katie Phang is not only covering the fight over the Epstein files. She is one of the people in it. Her lawsuit against Todd Blanche, the attorney general, has reached a new turn: Blanche has filed a motion for judgment on the pleadings, asking Judge Sullivan to end the case now. A motion like that asks a court to decide on the written filings alone, before anyone gets to the evidence.
Phang, a Miami trial lawyer and former MSNBC anchor who now hosts her channel on the MeidasTouch Network, goes through the filing herself. Her description's verdict is blunt: these are old arguments that already lost, filed again. Blanche is a familiar figure to her audience. Before joining the government, he was Donald Trump's lead defense lawyer at the 2024 hush-money trial in Manhattan.
The video passed a quarter of a million views in its first seven hours, on a channel where a new upload usually ends its whole first day near 60,000. The comments came in faster still. In those seven hours there were already about twice as many as a usual full first day brings. Much of that conversation asks why the court keeps giving the government more room, and what could be in the files to make them worth such a long fight.
This is the second Blanche filing in two days to get its own video. As we reported here, Friday's upload covered his request to push back a court deadline for a certified list of the administrative record, and it has since passed half a million views. Phang is reporting on her own lawsuit one filing at a time, in a series that is now moving at the court's pace.
