'Not a good use of the Court's time': Katie Phang on Todd Blanche and her Epstein lawsuit
She explains why a missed deadline matters in the case she calls her own, and her viewers keep asking the same thing: where is the contempt order?
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 616,955 views a day, 10 times a normal first day on this channel (59,967).
🚨AG Blanche IGNORES JUDGE'S ORDERS And TRIES To DELAY MY Epstein LAWSUIT!!
Whose Epstein lawsuit is this? According to the title, it is Katie Phang's own, and her newest video is about a deadline she says the other side would rather not meet.
The description sets out the dispute. Judge Sullivan had ordered a certified list of the contents of the Administrative Record by October 1. Todd Blanche, called AG in the title, has asked to push that back, arguing that it is "not a good use of the Court's time or taxpayer resources." Phang, the trial attorney and former MSNBC anchor, argues that the request is one more way of putting off the unredacted Epstein files. She also explains why the list the court wants matters to the case. Blanche's name is familiar from another courtroom: he led Donald Trump's defense at the Manhattan criminal trial.
In eleven hours the video drew close to 400,000 views. A new upload on this channel usually ends its whole first day near 60,000. The comments came even faster, nearly three times a usual first day's total in less than half a day. Most of them circle one question: why a missed order has not brought a contempt finding. Others thank Phang for staying on the case.
It went up after a busy run of uploads. Her Cornell coverage, which drew a fast start as we reported here, continued with new documents from the university's investigation. An interview with Texas gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa is also running strong. Neither has come close to the deadline fight.
