A thumbs-up dad and a new face called Sandra in Grayskitz's 'Mums vs Dads'

The school-injury sketch passed 700,000 views, the biggest of seven new uploads from a channel already past a billion total views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Past a billion total views, Grayskitz is still built on the same small, very British school moments: the coach trip, the end-of-day bell, the mum who decides it is time for a clear out. Seven new Shorts went up over the week, and the one viewers watched most was "Mums vs Dads when you hurt yourself at school 😂#shorts", now past 700,000 views.

The joke is in the split. One parent answers the school's call with alarm, the other with a single thumbs-up, and that thumbs-up is what the comment section keeps playing with, inventing ever more dramatic messages that would get the same reply. Others noticed that mums apparently always pick up the phone with "Speaking". Many also greeted a newcomer they call Sandra, from school, and one viewer spotted Timmy putting his broken arm to work cutting off Claire mid-sentence.

The newest upload, "When your mum decides to have a clear out 😂#shorts", is the one moving fastest right now, at two days old. Overall the channel ran slower than its usual pace, and subscribers nudged up by about a thousand.

Among comedy sketch channels near its size, only EthanThe Artist drew more views over the week, while Sam Cornforth was the one running above his usual pace. For Timmy, Tabitha, Dean, Sammy and Courtney, a slower week still means plenty of parents getting the call.
