A clifftop cast and a hidden sea cave keep Gido's south coast busy
Gido's Fishing Adventures posted nothing new, yet gathered more than five million views over the week, the most of any outdoors channel near its size.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Fishing from a Huge Cliff Catch and Cook
No uploads, plenty moving. Gido's Fishing Adventures took the week off, and the channel ran a little above its usual daily pace anyway, adding about 5.6 million views and 4,000 subscribers.
The channel's own description sets the terms: fishing new places along the south of Western Australia, and the more remote and hard to reach, the better. The two videos pulling hardest right now fit that promise exactly. "Fishing from a Huge Cliff Catch and Cook," posted nearly five months ago, has passed two and a half million views and is still the busiest thing on the channel. Close behind is "HIDDEN SEA CAVE CATCH and COOK," which the description sums up as exploring new sea caves, catching dinner, cooking it over a fire and camping out. "2 DAYS of Epic Fishing Catch and Cook," from the same spring stretch, trails well behind them.
Those favorites carry only part of the load. Most of the week's views spread across the wider back catalog, the kind of steady trickle a library of catch-and-cook trips builds over time.
Among the outdoors and fishing channels closest in size, none gathered more views over the week. TN Gardening and Dave Mercer had big weeks of their own, while Dude Perfect Outdoors and Briggsy Sport Fishing ran well below their usual pace. For a channel without a single new upload, Gido's shelf did a lot of fishing.
