Canal drains, a flathead comp and a catch n cook carry Briggsy's pause
No new uploads went up, so an eleven-day-old family fishing trip did most of the work, with a 50-day-old 'biggest I ever caught' not far behind.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Canal & Drain Fishing, Flatty Comp, Soft Plastics, Catch n Cook...
Briggsy Sport Fishing posted nothing new over the week, and the video viewers kept opening was the last one he made before the pause: "Canal & Drain Fishing, Flatty Comp, Soft Plastics, Catch n Cook...". The tags call it family fishing and a competition, the flatty of the title being the flathead, an Australian favorite on soft plastics. It is a trip with a friend named Jon along, the gear list shows two action cameras on the water and a third, a Canon with a macro lens, saved for the cooking at the end. Eleven days in, it is nearing 100,000 views.
Behind it sits "The biggest I ever caught...", fifty days old and past 230,000 views, its tags promising a massive mackerel. A beach gutter video from 74 days ago, billed in its own title as endless hookups and filmed with Tavi, Jon and Niko, is still finding people too.
Without a fresh upload, the channel ran at a little more than half its usual daily pace, and the subscriber count held at 487,000. Among the outdoors and fishing channels close to it in size, the busy one is Gido's Fishing Adventures, running above its usual pace with millions of views gained, and TN Gardening is ahead of its own norm too. YouFishTV, another quiet fishing channel, had a smaller week still.
Briggsy's about text calls the channel a record of his adventures as he grows as a fisherman. For now, the canal, the drains and the frying pan are holding the fort.
