Broccoli under cover, birdhouse gourds and luffa sponges in Bre Ellis's October garden
Three uploads went up, including a trip to Mom's Spaghetti, while a two-week-old potato-preserving video keeps finding viewers.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
October Garden Harvest #gardening #harvest #growyourownfood
Two days old and already level with a video fifteen days its senior: "October Garden Harvest" is Bre Ellis's busiest new upload, gathering views at the same daily clip as her potato-preserving video from late September.
The harvest video's comment section has the feel of a garden fence. The moment people mention most is Bre lifting the row cover off her broccoli, and several want to know where that sturdy cover came from. Others are waiting for the birdhouse gourds to become actual birdhouses, one gardener in the UK swaps notes on a tomato plant that will not stop producing green fruit, and a surprising number of viewers simply want to know where her sweater is from.
The gourds have company. The newest upload, posted the day after, shows how she turns luffas into sponges and nesting pads for her chickens, and it started quickly. In between came a lighter detour: "I Went To Moms Spaghetti!", a visit to the Detroit restaurant tied to Eminem.
The older video still matters most to the totals. "Preserving 40 Pounds Of Potatoes 3 Different Ways!" has passed 320,000 views and keeps adding them as fast as the fresh harvest.
The channel as a whole ran a little below its usual pace and added about a thousand subscribers. Among the outdoors and homesteading channels near her size, Gido's Fishing Adventures had the big week, while No-Till Growers, the closest fellow gardeners in the group, ran quieter than usual.

What viewers say
Audibly went “holy shit” when you lifted the cover on that broccoli! Amazing crop!
@ThenewboidahliaSee it on YouTubeOver here in the UK, my tomato plant went absolutely mental when we had torrential rain for a couple days a few weeks ago, after having next to no rain for something like 5 weeks over the summer. We picked the odd tomato, but nothing compared to last year when we had so many tomatoes we couldn't keep up with them 😅 Now though, we pick 30, and somehow we find another 30 that are all green hidden amongst all the foliage 😅
@ThreesACrowd321See it on YouTubeI grew birdhouse gourds and luffas as well this year for the first time. I can wait to see your birdhouse gourds done.

@carolynturk-hu7jeSee it on YouTubeWe had to take our loofahs early because of almost two weeks of constant sleet or rain. One of them started getting moldy. I hope they can still dry out and get lighter.

Mom's Spaghetti, the restaurant Bre visited, takes its name from a line in which Eminem song?
The opening verse of "Lose Yourself" from 8 Mile mentions "mom's spaghetti", and Eminem later opened a restaurant of that name in Detroit.
