First responders risked their own lives to save a family and their dog.🙏🚒

The white pickup is lying on its side in rushing, muddy water. To reach the family stranded on its exterior, rescuers extend an aluminum ladder from an excavator arm, creating a narrow crossing above the flood.

Fox Nation's Rescue Nation clip documents the operation in Buckhorn, New Mexico, where heavy rainfall trapped the family in a wash. Grant County sheriff's deputies, volunteer firefighters and civilians work together, with a firefighter crawling across the ladder to reach the truck.

The footage has drawn about 38,000 views in a day, nearly twenty times its usual daily pace. Posted earlier this week, it follows the rescue through to the checks on dry ground, rather than stopping at the most precarious crossing.

A woman remaining on the truck receives a rope harness and crawls along the ladder. The dog takes a different route: secured by a line, it jumps into the water and is pulled to the bank.

Once everyone is ashore, the urgent instructions give way to a simpler question: does anyone need medical help? A rescuer confirms, "Everybody's been rescued from the vehicle."
