Florida dad stabs 17-year-old twins, kills self in murder-suicide: Deputies
It was a story from home. On Friday the Orange County Sheriff's Office said a father is believed to have killed his 17-year-old twin children and then himself, in what investigators are calling an apparent murder-suicide. FOX 35 Orlando posted the news under the deputies' own wording.
Six hours later the report had close to 30,000 views. A new video on the WOFL-TV channel usually ends its whole first day below 2,000. The rest of the station's Friday ran at its usual pace: a weekend forecast from senior meteorologist Noah Bergren and a live stream tracking the rain each stayed in the hundreds or low thousands.
The report keeps to what the sheriff's office released. More than 300 comments came in during those first hours, and most of them ask the same thing: how a parent could do this. Several commenters say it feels as if they hear of cases like it more often lately. A number of parents with teenagers of their own write about their sons and daughters of the same age.
