Grace Wong helps explain an audible courtroom reaction: jurors first returned a not-guilty verdict on first-degree manslaughter, then a guilty verdict on the lesser charge of second-degree manslaughter. Her discussion with Nate Eaton became East Idaho News's most-watched new upload of the week, drawing about 84,000 views.

The Courtroom Insider episode combines the verdict footage with Wong's account from inside the Connecticut courtroom. Eaton and Wong distinguish the charges, discuss the judge's sentencing discretion and revisit the prosecution and defense closing arguments. It follows the channel's live trial coverage and a separate verdict upload, giving viewers both the proceedings and a subsequent explanation.

Across fifteen uploads, the week also brought the return of a very different East Idaho News fixture: Secret Santa deliveries. Nancy, who has volunteered in her community and abroad, receives a visit after two basement floods left her facing costly pipe repairs. A separate compilation gathers the first week's surprises into a single video.

The verdict discussion currently carries the most viewing momentum, with police-released footage of Park City K-9 Bruno's fall from an overpass close behind. The accompanying report says Bruno was released from a veterinary hospital and is recovering at home. Nancy's Secret Santa visit is another of the channel's busiest videos right now.

East Idaho News added roughly 3,000 subscribers over seven days, while its current daily views sit close to their usual level. Nearby in subscriber size, WUSA9 had a substantially busier viewing week. Here, the new uploads offered two distinct reasons to watch: detailed courtroom coverage and the first collected Secret Santa deliveries of the season.
