Roadsters and Corvettes fill DragTimes' week off

With no new uploads, Brooks Weisblat's channel collected roughly 1.5 million views from its existing videos.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

DragTimes left the upload calendar empty, but Brooks Weisblat's back catalog had plenty to offer: a SpaceX visit, a Corvette runway outing and a comparison between two Grand Sports.

The Roadster showcase we covered here in October remains the busiest of those individual uploads. At McGregor, Texas, Weisblat explores the Tesla Semi's cabin before the presentation moves to rather less ordinary transport: a Roadster demonstration involving a vertical loop and cold-gas thrusters. Elon Musk, Franz von Holzhausen and Lars Moravy present the technology, with the team claiming acceleration to 60 mph in less than a second. The video has now passed 1.5 million views.

Corvettes supply the more familiar DragTimes territory. Weisblat's ZR1X trip with the Corsa Rally Group to Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds continues adding views, as does September's Grand Sport X-versus-Grand Sport comparison.

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, while today's viewing rate is less than half the channel's usual daily level. Among nearby motoring channels, Top Dead Center had a substantial week of subscriber growth, and High Peak Autos is enjoying above-usual daily viewing. For DragTimes, the week's activity came entirely from the archive, with the Roadster showcase its most active individual video.
