Hero Dogs return for Crufts 2027, and a Tibetan Terrier that isn't one

Five dogs will be chosen and their stories told before the show, with the public voting for a People's Champion to be named in the main arena.

When is a terrier not a terrier? When it comes from Tibet, according to one of Crufts' two new uploads. Underneath all that fur, the short explains, the Tibetan Terrier is a herding dog, a close relative of the Lhasa Apso that was once shown in Britain as a "Lhasa Terrier." The description credits Dr Greig, an English surgeon working on the India-Tibet border in the 1920s, who brought her dogs home and helped establish the breed in the UK and the United States.

The other new video looks ahead. The Crufts Hero Dog Awards are back for 2027: five dogs will be picked, their stories shared in the run-up to the show, and the public will vote for a People's Champion to be announced in the main arena. Each of the five also brings a donation to a charity of its choosing. The early comments are mostly warm hellos, and one viewer is ready to vote for all of them.

Neither upload is where the channel's energy sits, though. That belongs to the arena archive. "🚫 Border Collies 🚫 Our Favourite Agility Runs From Other Dog Breeds" collects ABC agility from Crufts 2026 (Anything But Collies), with Miniature American Shepherds and Hungarian Vizslas getting their turn on the course. Close behind is a reel of six Heelwork to Music routines going back to Mary Ray in 2017, and it has passed 57,000 views.

Away from the March show, the channel is running a bit below its usual daily pace, and subscribers held level. Among pets and animals channels of a similar size, Crufts is one of the calmer corners this week, while Tiridan Vee draws the biggest crowd by far.
