Jamie Dimon, John Authers and a record S&P close out Bloomberg Podcasts' week

The Closing Bell on the S&P 500's first record since August drew the most viewers of fifteen new uploads, with Nvidia's market value approaching $6 trillion in the background.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A usual day on Bloomberg Podcasts brings in a little under 400,000 views across the whole catalog. Lately it has been running somewhat above that, and over seven days the channel added more views than any of the money and business channels nearest its size, ahead of Morning Brew, which came close.

Fifteen new videos went up, and the busiest of them is the plainest: the Closing Bell for the day the S&P 500 set its first record since August. Romaine Bostick, Sally Bakewell, Carol Massar and Jess Menton walk through the close, and the description sets the scene: Wall Street betting that companies can ride out high energy costs and rates, Nvidia's value nearing $6 trillion, and AMD's Lisa Su predicting very high chip demand.

The same day's Businessweek Daily, "Top-Heavy Stock Rally Dares Bonds," is the one to settle into. Bloomberg Opinion's John Authers looks at the market, and Jamie Dimon, talking with Tom Mackenzie, covers AI, inflation and government debt. Isabel Guzman, the former head of the Small Business Administration, brings a reputation risk report built around AI, and her warning also got a clip of its own.

The quieter end of the week shows what else the channel carries: a Money Minute with Elon Musk reaching a $1 trillion net worth, and an investigation with The Examination into gas flares that keep burning in West Texas despite the oil majors' pledges to curb them.

The subscriber count moved with the views, about 4,000 more for the week.
