Seven hundred million views, and a DM who homebrews too much

ZachTheBold's channel has passed 700 million views in total, crossing the line during a week with only three new uploads.
The one doing the talking is "When Your DM Homebrews Too Much | DnD Short," which drew nearly half a million views on its first day. The title says it all: a dungeon master who has piled on so many house rules that the table can barely move. Judging by the comments, the rules include time passing in real time and a lot of dice rolls about travel and survival. Viewers answer with Oregon Trail jokes about hunting rolls that wipe out the buffalo, characters lost to consumption and an ending that "gave" someone dysentery. Plenty of them also want the mutiny song the sketch only teases.
The rest of the week belonged to the podcast. Bold Takes and Bad Tempers reached episode 75, which carries the title "I Choked Out The Ghost Of Christmas Past."
The channel's real engine is a short from two weeks ago, "Having to 1v1 in Commander | MTG Short." Commander is Magic: The Gathering's multiplayer format, so a duel there is an awkward fit, and the joke has now passed 2.7 million views. Daily views have cooled from their usual pace, but subscribers still rose by about 6,000.
Among anime, comics and tabletop channels, no one near ZachTheBold's size added more views over the week. Min-Maxed is running above its usual pace, while Tales from the Stinky Dragon and Dimension 20 are both quieter than normal.
