Tenkaichi gets tag teams, and the Three Idiots enter Machine Party

A fan-made tag mode for Budokai Tenkaichi filled three of Rhymestyle's six uploads, while a horror take on Mario Party with Doto and Seereax drew the biggest crowd.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Rhymestyle spent most of his week on one discovery: Budokai Tenkaichi, the Dragon Ball fighting series he has covered for years, can now be played in tag teams, thanks to modders. He made three videos about it. "THIS IS REAL NOW" asks viewers to remember the old Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi Tag, "This Game Has Tag Team Mode Now" followed, and "This Update Just Changed Everything (It's Perfect...)" goes further, with a description that calls the mod possibly the greatest thing he has ever seen. That last one, three days old, is the video picking up views fastest on the channel right now. A short called "Lore Accurate Broly" stayed on the same theme.

The week's biggest audience came from somewhere else. "Three Idiots vs Horror Mario Party (Machine Party)" brings back the trio of Rhymestyle, Doto and Seereax for Machine Party, billed as a horror version of Mario Party, and it passed 200,000 views in a week. Viewers keep pointing to the moment around the 35-minute mark when Rhyme turns on Deion twice, and to Doto threatening to take on two players at once. The most popular request is for the trio to go back to Demon Slayer Mario Party. Some also noticed that the group kept mentioning a Squad video that has not been posted yet.

The week ended with a Yu-Gi-Oh! pack opening on October 2, in which he says he pulled a serialized Grand Master Rare. The channel ran a little above its usual daily pace, about 1.3 million views over the seven days, putting it in the middle of the anime and tabletop channels around it. ZachTheBold is far ahead of everyone, and UnrealEntGaming is having the liveliest week compared with its own usual pace.
