This Anime Traumatized A Generation keeps Gigguk talking on a week off
The two-week-old video has passed 1.1 million views, with a summer season roundup and a look at hapless anime heroines close behind in total.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This Anime Traumatized A Generation
Gigguk posted nothing new this week, and the channel of a man who, in his own words, has been talking about anime for way too long simply let the recent work carry on.
The busiest of it is "This Anime Traumatized A Generation," two weeks old and already past a million views. It is still drawing far more each day than anything else on the channel. The title keeps its secret, and the description gives little away beyond a sponsor, though its gift code borrows the name of Demon Slayer.
Behind it sit two older pieces. "Summer Anime 2026 In A Nutshell" is his take on the season just finished, the long-running format in which he squeezes a whole season of shows into one fast, joking tour. "The Epidemic of Pathetic Anime Girls" turns to a character type, the lovable mess of a heroine, summed up in its one-line description about girl failure. Both are in the same neighborhood of total views, a little under a million each.
The subscriber count held steady at 3.62 million, third in size among the anime, comics and tabletop channels listed beside him. Avatar Legends, just below him in subscribers, is having a busy stretch at around twice its usual daily pace, and Critical Role and TeamFourStar are running above their norm too. ariki Anime and Legends of Avantris are quieter than usual.
For Gigguk, a week without uploads still has three of his videos doing the talking.
