Spring and summer share Gigguk's anime catch-up shelf

The seasonal Nutshell videos sit on either side of a million views during another upload break.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

This Anime Traumatized A Generation

Gigguk's spring anime roundup has crossed a million views, and its summer companion is close to joining it. With no new uploads this week, the seasonal Nutshell series offers a little catch-up viewing, even if the calendar has moved on.

Neither is the catalog's main draw right now. That remains "This Anime Traumatized A Generation," which is attracting several times the daily views of both roundups combined. A month after publication, it has reached roughly 1.4 million views. The title promises a shared anime memory, though it doesn't name the series in question.

The channel added about 234,000 views over seven days, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level, making this a modest stretch rather than a sudden slowdown. Nearby animation-comedy channel TeamFourStar also had an unchanged subscriber count, while Legends of Avantris enjoyed substantial growth.

For Gigguk, the seasonal summaries sit alongside a much longer-lived specialty: compressed anime comedy. "Attack on Titan IN 9 MINUTES" remains his most-watched regular upload, a reminder that an anime catch-up needn't take an entire season.
