Top 10 Times Upper Class Twits Got Humiliated On TV
Royals, politicians and the occasional celebrity squirming in front of a camera: "Top 10 Times Upper Class Twits Got Humiliated On TV" went up on Monday and became the most watched of the seven videos WatchMojoUK posted, closing in on 90,000 views. The countdown runs from Boris Johnson dangling from a zip wire during the London 2012 Olympics to Sarah Ferguson walking off and Matt Hancock's tears on I'm a Celebrity.
The comments read like a list of entries viewers think are missing. Several bring up the 2008 Andrew Sachs phone stunt by Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand, and one popular thread sets the record straight on the prankster who handed Theresa May a P45 at her conference speech: that was comedian Simon Brodkin, better known for his Lee Nelson character.
The rest of the week leaned on British TV's awkward side, with a list of comedians caught out on air and another of shows that should be erased from history, from Heil Honey, I'm Home! to Crossroads. A Sunday countdown of British heist films, The Italian Job and The Lavender Hill Mob among them, started briskly.
Yet the video carrying the most momentum is older and gentler: a Top 30 of Bake Off creations, Paul's bread lion and Rahul's chandelier included. Views ran a touch below the channel's usual pace and subscribers held still, leaving it fourth for views gained among similar movie and TV channels, where Sona Darus and AlexandeR-Edits had the big weeks.
