"Lucy successfully saved Gru by using a sedative" is a short clip from the Despicable Me films, posted ten days ago on Riskalla Ken, a clips channel that cuts animated movies into bite-sized scenes. It has gone past 1.3 million views, and it is the video still bringing in the most viewers every day.
The week's new uploads stayed in the same family. Seven shorts went up, almost all of them Gru, Lucy and the Minions: Lucy arresting Gru and his yellow crew in one sweep, the birth of the Super Minions from Despicable Me 3, a plush unicorn for the girls, and a crown found for Scarlett, a nod to Scarlett Overkill, the villain Sandra Bullock voiced in Minions. The best of them is Dave the Minion falling for Lucy at first sight, the clip that had a strong first day when we wrote about it here. It has kept moving since and is close to 150,000 views, well ahead of the rest of the week's new shorts.
The channel as a whole ran a little slower than usual, adding about 2.7 million views over the week, and the subscriber count held where it was. Among the movie and TV clip channels near its size that is the third-largest gain, behind azan, which is having an enormous week, and CinePals.
